VETERANS' DAY

Washington City's Veterans Day was special for Horizon Elementary 5th Grade. We participated in the parade, music, Flag ceremony, and our own Taylor Hardy read her essay. It was a day filled with pride and thankfulness.

Halloween Carnival -- YMCA

Halloween

Halloween was so fun. Dressing up, parades, playing games, and having treats helped to kick-off the Halloween weekend. Being a 5th grader is sooooooooooooooo much fun! The weather was perfect--had us worried.

Drug and Alcohol Week

We participated in the daily events of Drug and Alcohol Week to help us remember that we don't do drugs--no matter what!!!

Staheli Family Farm

Our fifth grade bicycle trip to Staheli Farm was a huge success. The weather was great, couldn't have asked for better.
The farm was very educational, and a ton of fun. We all got lost in the corn maze, learned how to raise pumpkins, chose one for our classroom--thanks Josh, we love Eggkin, ate lunch, and learned to line dance. Due to the assistance of our many parents and the Washington City Police we made a safe trip down and back. I think everyone went to bed early that night!!!
